Advised required on Conman PI

Dear En Akhbar

I stumbled on your article in the STAR and noted the formation of Malaysian Assocociation of Private investigators (MALPi) to promote professionalism in the industry.

The reason I am writing this email is to find out what recourse is available to me against an investigator who was paid in full and refuses to surrender the investigation reports / evidence collected etc.

This PI was introduced by my lawyer to investigate infidelity on the part of my wife. Despite paying almost RM 20,000, all I received are some photos and videos
that by itself cannot be used in court. I had to unilaterally place a GPS device in the car to track her movements.

To date, the PI never delivered the phone records (RM 950) and video of the sex act which he guaranteed he will deliver (RM 8,300) and other things. He has ignored all efforts over 3 months on my part as well as my lawyer to deliver the investigation report. This means that my lawyer cannot prepare the affidavits to proceed with the case.

The name of the PI is Mr Vijayasundara Moorthy........... He claimed to be licensed and stressed that there were rules in PI work.

Please advise how I could go about addressing this matter.

Internet Fraudster July 22,2010

Dear Mr Akhbar,

I live Japan has hired a Pi to conduct an investigation in Kuala Lumpur. i have paid this pi by the name of Jay for about USD3.7K.

Recently, he has stopped responding to calls and e-mails and I feel I have been robbed of USD$3743.00

Can you help me recover this and I will pay you from the recovered sums? Or do you know who can help me? This company is still advertising on the internet and other innocent customers may be duped and I feel they have to be stopped.

I would like to ask if you would be able to help me by investigating a Pi to whom I have lost almost five thousand pounds. I had ordered and payed for, via western UNION FOR investigations.The company is called cg Pi and are based in Kuala Lumpur. They claim that they have started the investigation but there is no result.. I have done my own investigations and will be able to provide the information. They contact me daily because they want this additional money. Please let me know if you can help and also what your charges are. In the meantime I will keep them in touch with me.

SCAMMED $250,000 (USD)

Dear Akhbar,
Thanks a lot for responding my mail. I knew him online, He told me he's doing gold mining in Malaysia and need money to do this business.
I did not know, he used all the fake information and means to scam my money. I had been scammed $250,000 (USD).
I'm broke because of losing money.

Since you're living in Kuala Lumpur, please advise can I report this case to Malaysia government or police.
