BALAN DASS (MCIPD UK) has his Ph.D. in Adult Education at Universiti Putra, Malaysia and has attained a Masters in Education majoring in Training andDevelopment from the University of Sheffield, U.K. He is a graduate and professional member of the institute of Personnel & Development, U.K. He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management from the University of Humberside, U.K. Balan Dass is on the faculty of lecturers for the Heriot Watt University, University of Sunderland, Charles Stuart University, University of South Queensland, Preston University, TRACE Ltd, UK and Institute of Personal Development, UK. He is Accredited Trainer for TEAM Management Systems (UK), The Open College (UK) and The Expert Manager (UK) and Accredited Trainer with DTS International, Australia. He is also an approved trainer for Supervisory Management programs for Teeside Tertiary College at Northumbria, Newcastle, UK. Some of the modules taught by Balan at these universities include: Organizational Behavior/ Development, Change Management, Leadership Strategy, People Development, Industrial Relations, Management Development and the Train the Trainers Program. These programs are taught at Certificate / Diploma/ Post-Graduate/ Masters levels. He also lectures at the Malayian Society for Training and Development on Human Resources Management. His recent appointment as the Professional Advisor by The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, U.K. is to monitor the quality assurance being implemented by the local training provider.

Prior to this, Balan Dass was the person involved in the setting up of SK Brothers (Institute Kemahiran dan Pengurusan SKB) as the Chief Executive Officer. He was also responsible for initiating the Joint-Venture for the Diploma in Real Estate, other Construction and Property related courses with the Liverpool John-Moores University, Teeside Tertiary College and the Real Estate Institute of Victoria, Australia. During his tenure, he also developed short programs for the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents. His past experiences are working as the Human Resources Manager of SK Brothers Realty which included conducting training for the sales personnel's and others. At this point, Balan would have trained approximately 3 000 people in this particular industry. Not forgetting his overseas trips where Balan attended the National Association of Realtors Convention in Los Angeles, USA and Property Management Convention in Perth, Australia It was there that Balan acquired the wealth of knowledge and new ideas which was later incorporated into his training programs for current updates of the Real Estate Industry for the benefit of the participants. Currently, Balan Dass is a professional free lance consultant in Human Resources and Training Consultant specializing in E- Profiling, Needs Analysis, Trouble Shooting, Developing HR Solutions, Team Development, Managing People, Dynamics Of Communication, Supervisory Skills, Train The Trainers, Personality Testing, Management Development Program and Organization Culture and Change, Customer Service and DISC Accreditation. With training and development so close to his heart, Balan has facilitated numerous programs in Singapore, India, Spain and Australia for the development of youth and uplifting of the professional standing of young executives with the various innovative programs designed by him. He is also a resource person for the Malaysian Institute of Management – Human Resources Management. Despite a busy schedule, Balan Dass has managed the time to be active in organizations like Rotary International, where he held the position of a President of the Rotary Club of Bukit Kiara Sunrise (1998/1999) and eventually serving the Rotary International District 3300 as Chairman of the World Community Service (1999/2000), Chairman of the Public Relations (2000/2001), Deputy Chairman for Vocational Guidance (2001/2002) and currently the. Chairman toService To New Generations (2003-/04). Apart from this, he is also a member of Toastmasters International.
